#PowerandPurpose ~ The Manifestation of Success

Do not worry that believing in your dreams will turn you into an unpractical, dreamy sort of person. Let them motivate and inspire you, and you will become a more practical and successful person.

Whenever we experience success, we enjoy a great exhilarating feeling. By capturing and reliving this feeling you can turn it into the seed of a new success. If you think about something that you really want to realize, and at the same time you consciously generate this feeling of success in your consciousness, and stay with it, you can achieve wonders. This is the magic wand with which you can do magic and wonders.

If you examine your ambitions, desires and goals in a very sincere way, you may discover to your amazement that you have some fears of realizing them. You want something, but yet you are afraid to have it. You may wish for a different kind of life, but in your subconscious mind you fear the change. You may desire to get married, but you are afraid of marriage. You want to change your job, but you are afraid to make the change. This is because the familiar gives security. You can find many examples like these.

When you have a goal, and at the same time you experience doubts and fears, you are actually driving away the materialization of your dreams. It is like sailing against the wind and the currents; you are pushed back all the time. These fears hide at the back of the mind, and you may not be conscious of them. Analyzing any desire you have, and trying to find out if there is any resistance to bringing it about, will bring the fears into the open, and enable you to throw away your fears and inner brakes.

When you focus your consciousness on success, and fill it with the feeling of success, things start happening.

When the certainty of success is saturated into the consciousness, you have a great power in your hands. Success consciousness means that you are certain of your success without doubts. Like the story about the faucet, you should have no doubts that you are going to get what you are thinking about.

#PowerandPurpose ~ The Law of Attraction

The law of attraction is not a new idea. It has always been here from ancient times, and people have always used it. Hunters, who painted scenes of hunting on the walls of caves thousands of years ago, used the law of attraction, as well as modern businessmen, who visualize what they wish to accomplish.

You use it too, whenever you think, make plans or daydream.  Books on this subject started to be popular more than a hundred years ago, but the authors of these books did not use the term "the law of attraction". They called it the law of opulence, mental power, mental magic, the power of thoughts or creative visualization. It is the same law, the same power, only with a different name.

This is a most inspiring and elating idea, but inspiration and feelings of elation are not enough. You need to know what to do and how to proceed; otherwise you will get no results. You need to do more than just daydream for a t put some effort into this project and do not apply certain mental rules, you might not get results, and this can lead to disappointment, discouragement and to losing of faith in the law of attraction and the powers of the mind.

It is not enough just to visualize a goal for a few minutes, and then let doubts and disbelief fill your mind for the rest of the day.

It is not enough just to visualize a few times, and then wait for miracles to happen.
  • You need to have a strong desire and motivation, and the commitment to do whatever is necessary to achieve your goal.
  • You need persistence, concentration, the ability to visualize, and at least some degree of self-discipline.
  • You need to learn to recognize opportunity when it appears, and to be willing and ready to take and use this opportunity.
  • You need to be willing to act and take the required steps whenever needed, and not just wait for your desires to materialize from thin air or suddenly drop on you from the sky.

In order to take full advantage of the law of attraction you need to know certain rules and follow them. It is true, some people achieve great success, without knowing much or anything about it, but they intuitively use it correctly.

#PowerandPurpose ~ Purposeful Motivation

Motivation and enthusiasm manifest as desire and interest, and as a driving force that pushes to take action and pursue goals. Lack of motivation and enthusiasm denotes absence or deficiency in desire, interest and driving force.

Lack of motivation and lack of enthusiasm are two of the main reasons for failure and of living a mediocre life. People lacking in motivation and enthusiasm are usually passive, blame everything and everyone for their circumstances, and often come up with many excuses why they shouldn't or cannot do this or that. On the other hand, a motivated person is energetic and positive, takes action to improve his or her life, and does not give up when there are problems.

Lack of motivation and enthusiasm can show up everywhere, at home, at work, in relationships, in pursuing goals and in everything else. This often brings indifference, unhappiness and dissatisfaction.

What are the reasons for lack of motivation and enthusiasm?
  • Lack of faith in one's abilities.
  • Fear of failure, due to failure in the past.
  • Low self-esteem.
  • Lack of enough interest.
  • Fear of what others might say.
  • The habit of procrastination.
  • Laziness.
  • No awareness of the importance and usefulness of the subject or goal.
  • The feeling or belief that there are other more important things to do.
  • Not having the time to delve into the subject or goal.
  • Being too stressed or nervous.
  • Absence of enough stimuli or incentives.
The above mentioned reasons stifle motivation and enthusiasm, and are only excuses for not acting. However, you learn to overcome and disregard them, by becoming aware of them, acknowledging them, and understanding that you can change the programming of your mind.

Sometimes, people show short bursts of motivation or enthusiasm. They start doing something enthusiastically, but lose interest and motivation after a while, because they find it hard to sustain them.

If you wish to improve your life, you need to awaken motivation and enthusiasm. You need to realize how much you lose by their absence, and how much you gain by having them.

#PowerandPurpose ~ Being Motivated for Your Purpose

Motivation has become a popular word nowadays. There are motivational coaches and speakers, and motivational books and articles. What is it actually, and why do you need it?

Motivation is a driving force. In order to accomplish anything, you need a driving force, otherwise nothing will happen. A wish is not strong enough to make you take action. A wish is a weak desire. Only a strong desire can drive forward, to act and accomplish aims and goals.

In order to get motivated, you need to know exactly what it is that you want, to possess a strong desire, and to be willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish your goal.

More than often there is lack of motivation or only a short-lived one. How many times have you started enthusiastically a weight loss program, began a bodybuilding or aerobics training program or started to learn a foreign language, only to stop after a short while? Few people possess enough willpower and self-discipline to go through to the end with what they begin (this is one of the reasons I have written the book "Will Power and Self Discipline").

It easier to show motivation in connection with a subject that is dear to you. If you desire something, but you don't feel motivated enough to act, this means that the desire is not important enough. To be motivated to take action and do something in respect to your desire, you need to possess a really strong desire.

Motivation has much to do with the emotions and the imagination, which means that if you want to increase it, you have to work on your feelings and imagination.

Tips to increase your motivation:
1. Think, meditate and find out whether you really want to achieve your desire, and whether it is worth the effort and time.
2. Make your goal very clear. Writing it down will help.
3. Think often about your goal or desire.
4. Visualize your goal as already accomplished, and close your mind to contrary thoughts.
5. Read books or articles about the subject of your goal.
6. Read about people who have achieved success.
7. Think often about the benefits you will gain by achieving your goal.
8. Visualize, and think about how you would feel after achieving your goal.
9. Repeat positive affirmations such as: "I have the desire and inner strength to achieve my goal". Repeat this affirmation often, with faith and strong feelings.
10. Start with doing something small concerning your goal. Success in small matters leads to greater success.
Motivation is the powerful engine that moves you towards success and accomplishments in every area.

#PowerandPurpose: Be Rewarded With Honor

God's curse blights the house of the wicked,
   but he blesses the home of the righteous.
He gives proud skeptics a cold shoulder,
   but if you're down on your luck, he's right there to help.
Wise living gets rewarded with honor;
   stupid living gets the booby prize.

Proverbs 3:33-35

#PowerandPurpose Focus: Be Straightforward

Don't walk around with a chip on your shoulder,
   always spoiling for a fight.
Don't try to be like those who shoulder their way through life.
   Why be a bully?
"Why not?" you say. Because God can't stand twisted souls.
   It's the straightforward who get his respect.

Proverbs 3:30-32

#PowerandPurpose Focus: A Helping Hand

Never walk away from someone who deserves help;
   your hand is God's hand for that person.
Don't tell your neighbor "Maybe some other time"
   or "Try me tomorrow"
   when the money's right there in your pocket.
Don't figure ways of taking advantage of your neighbor
   when he's sitting there trusting and unsuspecting.

Proverbs 3:27-29

#PowerandPurpose Focus: Never Walk Away

Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life;
   don't for a minute lose sight of them.
They'll keep your soul alive and well,
   they'll keep you fit and attractive.
You'll travel safely,
   you'll neither tire nor trip.
You'll take afternoon naps without a worry,
   you'll enjoy a good night's sleep.
No need to panic over alarms or surprises,
   or predictions that doomsday's just around the corner,
Because God will be right there with you;
   he'll keep you safe and sound.

Proverbs 3:21-26

#PowerandPurpose Focus: Lady Wisdom

You're blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom,
   when you make friends with Madame Insight.
She's worth far more than money in the bank;
   her friendship is better than a big salary.
Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth;
   nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her.
With one hand she gives long life,
   with the other she confers recognition.
Her manner is beautiful,
   her life wonderfully complete.
She's the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her.
   Hold her tight—and be blessed!

With Lady Wisdom, God formed Earth;
   with Madame Insight, he raised Heaven.
They knew when to signal rivers and springs to the surface,
   and dew to descend from the night skies.

Proverbs 3:13-20

#PowerandPurpose Focus: Trust

Trust God from the bottom of your heart;
   don't try to figure out everything on your own.
Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go;
   he's the one who will keep you on track.
Don't assume that you know it all.
   Run to God! Run from evil!
Your body will glow with health,
   your very bones will vibrate with life!
Honor God with everything you own;
   give him the first and the best.
Your barns will burst,
   your wine vats will brim over.
But don't, dear friend, resent God's discipline;
   don't sulk under his loving correction.
It's the child he loves that God corrects;
   a father's delight is behind all this.

Proverbs 3:5-12

#PowerandPurpose Focus: Wisdom

Don't Assume You Know It All...!

Good friend, don't forget all I've taught you; take to heart my commands.  They'll help you live a long, long time, a long life lived full and well.  Don't lose your grip on Love and Loyalty.  Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart.  Earn a reputation for living well in God's eyes and the eyes of the people.  Proverbs 3:1-4

(#PowerandPurpose) The 11th Commandment...!

People with a clear-cut sense of purpose can withstand many challenges, inconveniences, and difficulties that others cannot. They do not give up. They do not break the 11th commandment, “Thou Shalt Not Whine.”

(#PowerandPurpose) Living Purpose With Trouble in Mind

The first thing is to have faith in God.  The second thing is that we can speak in confidence when we pray.  Jesus said that when you ask God for something in your prayers, believe that you receive them and you will have them.  Keep in mind that this isn’t a blank check so to speak since we know that our desires will be affected by the Spirit of God that lives in us.

Why can’t we just believe that God will work it out—not that we just sit back and do nothing though?  Why can’t we just trust God?  What happens such that the baby faith that we had in God is replaced by uncertainty and fear to trust?  Life happens.  Consider what Jesus said about that with regard to the Word of God.

Matthew 13:22 (NKJV) -- {22} Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.

Life comes in and shows us a picture that is contrary to our faith.  Life shows us how people are suffering and dying and we start to wonder why we should expect not to be a part of that suffering group.  We start to lose faith in God because we are not sure if God will do it for us.  We may believe that He can do anything, but that He may not do it for us.  Again, why not just believe God all the way.  If it turned out bad then at least I was faithful until the end.  Why not do that since we don’t know what tomorrow holds anyway?  Why not pursue tomorrow as if things will work out?

(#PowerandPurpose) Purpose-Packaged Talents

You have talents that came with the package. All have at least one thing that you can do better than anyone else. Use it for God's purpose.

There are gifts that God has given to us to be used in the Church for God's glory and purpose.

Your purpose defines who you are.

Your purpose will drive you. Even when you are low on gas.

Your purpose will motivate you when you feel like hanging up the gloves.

Why didn't Muhammad Ali retire after he fought Foreman?  Because his purpose was bigger than George Foreman.

Why didn't Roberto Duran stop fighting after his defeat to Sugar Ray Leonard?  Because he was destined to be a fighter and no matter what.  That's all he knew what to do.

Purpose will give you determination to conquer.

(#PowerandPurpose) My Purpose is No Mistake

Success is NOT PURPOSE. Many people in the world are successful and have millions of dollars but they live a miserable life because they have no purpose.

What is purpose?

Related words destination, direction; aim, goal, mission, objective, point; ambition, aspiration; proposal, proposition the will of God is His purpose.

You were designed by God for a specific purpose. Some shorter, some taller, some skinny, some chubby, some have one eye, some have two. No matter what God loves you and will use you the way that you are. You are not a mistake.

Far Greater Purpose (#PowerandPurpose)

The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness. It's far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions. If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God.

Purpose Creates Motivation (#PowerandPurpose)

Purpose decreases frustration and increases motivation.

If I don’t have a purpose, why get out of bed?  Why get up in the morning?  Why make any effort.  The fact is, most people just kind of drift through life.  They’re kind of battered around.  They’re controlled by circumstances.  You talk to somebody and say, "How's it going?” and they say, “Not so bad considering the  circumstances.”  You want to say, “What are you doing under them?!?”  You should be on top of them.  Circumstances are like a feather mattress.  You get underneath  them and you suffocate.  You get on top and you rest easy.

Let me tell you the secret of lasting change.  Let me tell you the secret of energy, of motivation, of enthusiasm in life.  How do you get motivated in life?  Simple.  Discover your personal purpose in life.  When you do that, it motivates you to get out of bed.  You have a different attitude when you get up.  When you wake up in the morning you can either say, “Good morning, Lord!” or “Good Lord, it’s morning!”  Part of the difference is, do you have a purpose?  Do you have a purpose in life?

The secret of energy and enthusiasm and motivation is to discover your life purpose.  Why?  Because having the purpose gives you hope.  And everybody needs hope to keep going.

The Bible says that you cannot even imagine what God wants to do in your life.  Ephesians 3:20 says that “God is able to do far more than we think or ask or imagine, infinitely beyond our highest prayers, hopes and dreams.”  That’s what God wants to do in your life.  Discover your plan, your purpose.  Your frustration will decrease, your motivation will increase.

Happiness Power (#PowerandPurpose)

Are you living the kind of life that guarantees true joy and happiness? Maybe there are one or more areas of your life that need work today. If so, then now is the time to come to Jesus and get it settled. Why live anything less than a happy, fulfilling Christian life? You don’t have to live that way, therefore why would you? The secret of true happiness in the Christian life lies in humility before God and men, holiness in your walk before God and acceptance of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for you in salvation. Are there areas that need work? If so, bring them to Him tonight and He will make them right!

The Power and Purpose of Lack (#PowerandPurpose)

READ:  Luke 19:1-10

There are people who seem to possess everything this world holds in value and esteem. These people are looked upon by others as being successful. Perhaps you have even been jealous of someone who you thought had more than you did. Zacchaeus is one of those people who had it all. He was a rich man, v. 2, and he was a man of position and power, v. 2. I am sure there were many in Jericho and the surrounding area who would have gladly traded places with Zacchaeus. Yet, there was more to Zacchaeus than met the eye. Sure he was successful by the world's standards, but you should never judge a book by its cover. It was what Zaccheaus lacked that made the difference in his life. But, when this little man met a great big God, he got his need met completely.

Release the Fear (#PowerandPurpose)

Regardless of the fears you may have today, they are little when they are placed next to the Lord. If He can create the universe out of nothing; surely He can meet your need! If He can keep Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego through the fiery furnace, He can take care of you! If He can secure Daniel in the lion’s den, He can take care of you! If He can feed three million Jews in the desert for forty years, He can take care of you! If He can defeat sin, death, Hell, the grave and Satan using an old rugged cross and an empty tomb, He can take care of you! If He can save you from your sins, He can take care of you!

Whatever you fear today, bring it to Him, and leave it in His hand. He is more than able to take care of you, Eph. 3:20. (Ill. Jesus is the Lord of the little, even little fears!)
