Change is personal.
"And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins. And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, 'The old is better.'" (Luke 5:37-39, NIV)
Ultimately, each of us has to make up our mind, do we want the wine or do we want the wineskin.
We must choose:
Resist, resent, and reject?
Receive and rejoice...!
Change is part of life and change is essential to growth…! The only thing in the universe that does not change is the God of heaven and His Word…! It will never change for us, we must change in response to it.

Inevitable Purpose
Change is inevitable. Resisting change will not keep it from happening. Everything living changes. You cannot keep cloth from shrinking or wine from expanding. It will happen...! Some changes cannot be partial, they must be total. You cannot put new wine into old wineskins. Tradition must never be valued more than truth!

Powerful Emotions
Even positive change can produce negative emotions. Change takes time to process emotionally. The greater the degree or speed of change, the greater the degree of emotion we feel as a result of that change. The greater the degree of emotion, the greater the amount of time we will need to process that emotion.

The Power of Change and Redeveloping Purpose
When it seems that everytime you have something bad happen in your life have you questioned the Lord and His incredible love for you? “Why God, why?” you may ask. “Why would you do this to me?” And “How could this possibly be good?” may run through your mind. Everytime though, the change that may be feared so much and that you may rebuke the Lord for, might just be for the better and it's possible you could learn something about yourself, your faith, your love for others and/or your selfishness within.
The truth is, without the hardship and struggle, there wouldn't be defining moments, or accomplishments. There wouldn't be thankfulness for blessings and there would be no value of our Lord and His eternal love and commitment. There would be no need to draw close to our Lord, as He wants. There would be no guidance for a path to walk, because there would be no consequence, nor reason to change.
Change is inevitable. God changes us and our surroundings for reasons only He knows but through it all, He never abandons us. Only the Lord has the power to reverse events and He knows us more intimately than anyone. The why is not always for us to know; What we do about it is.

Change Can Be Powerful
Sometimes we get stuck because we become so comfortable where we are that we are fearful of taking any risks that might bring about change. It is important to realize the consequences of being “stuck”. After all, being “stuck”, quite simply means going “nowhere”. In ministry and in business, it is critical to not only be flexible, but willing to take some risks and embrace change.

SPRING into Purpose
Change is always with us. We change jobs, we take on new home projects, we start healthy habits, we start new businesses, we join new social groups. What changes do you find yourself contemplating as we approach the spring season? No matter what it is, your success is assured if you clarify your goals and set reasonable targets to achieve.
What does the change in seasons mean for you personally or for your business, organization or ministry?

Dealing With Change
You need to have the know-how, or the means to facilitate the change you want. In other words, how do you go about the change you want to create? What is the process? What is your best personal strategy?
Even when you are totally committed to making a change, if you don't know 'how', it will be very difficult to follow through and achieve the result you desire.
By understanding the process of change, you can work more effectively with the process, instead of fighting or resisting it. Understanding precedes change!
Start with the end result in mind. Imagine for a moment that you already have created the change you want. What would that look like? What would that feel like? What would be different in your life? What would be the consequences of the change you made? Is this what you really want?
In order to create the best personal success strategy for you, consider the following necessary components in the process of change:
Resources
- Personal qualities:
What inner resources (skills and/or capabilities) do you already have or need to develop in order to move forward with confidence to achieve your outcome? What other resources are available to you today that you might not have thought about?
- People:
Who might be a good external resource for you? Do you know anyone who has already achieved a goal similar to yours? Enlist the help of friends, a support group, a mentor, or a professional life coach who can assist you in developing an action plan for the changes you desire. - Objects:
Books you can read, equipment, audio CD's or DVD's with information you need. - Time:
Do you have enough time to dedicate to the achievement of your goal? If not, how can you create more time? What will you have to say 'no' to, in order to make more time for what you really want.
Actions Action is about moving forward, one step at a time. We all have the urge to move forward in life. It is an urge to become more whole, to find more meaning and balance. Think about the change or outcome you are committed to, and ask yourself, "What actions can I take today that will move me toward my desired goal?"
If the idea of taking a huge leap forward overwhelms you, you can break it down into smaller steps and more manageable tasks.
The larger the change in direction, the shorter the time it will take to come to new scenery. However, even the slightest change will take you on a different journey, if you persist. Focus and reinforcement are critical as you work toward your goal, because the slightest change in mindset can alter your course dramatically.
Living your life on purpose gives you clarity of vision, even when fog sets in. Living on purpose demands constant reflection about the choices you make along the road. Ignite the spark of your inner purpose and unleash the immense potential within you that will take you to unimagined heights on your life's journey!
